How safe is having sex without a condom if my girlfriend is on the pill?

My girlfriend is on the pill and I know both of us are clean. She doesn't smoke and is very very careful about taking it everyday, and at the same time everyday too. It's so much better without a condom but I know the pill isn't 100%. How safe is it for us to have sex without a condom?|||Well the pill is 97 to 99% Effective if used right. so as long as she is taking it right and you know for sure she doesn't have an STD then there's a 1 to about 3% chances of her getting pregnant but using a condom is still a good idea because if she ever missed a pill and didn't think twice about it you and doesn't tell you and you have unprotected sex you have a grater chance of knocking her up. Just take care of your end and wrap it up and if pleasure is a problem just know that there's thing out there to help that if you know what i mean and you last longer when you use a condom.|||i understand where you`re coming from because sex does feel more pleasurable without a condom, but me and my girlfriend have come across a new type of condom that feels better for me and provides desired lubrication for her its by trojan and it is called, if i am not mistaken, ecstacy i would highly recomend you try this out because with ecstacy sex is more enjoyable and completely safe. oh and ~P.S~ if birth control is 93% to 99% effective the more you have unproted sex the more likely it is that she will get pregnant|||It depends on *which* pill, but they are typically between 95 and 99 % effective. Note that effectiveness of contraceptives is not *per screw*, but per year of regular screwing. In other words, after a year of regular sex, you can be 95 to 99 % sure not to be pregnant. To up those numbers to the high 99s, use a secondary method as well, such as an IUD or sponge.|||Not nearly as safe as using a condom anyway.

It's worth it in the end. Saves you from having a kid that you don't want.

IF the pill fails, the condom shouldn't (or rather, isn't likely to).

It'd also be good to keep an Emergency Contraceptive Pill (aka the morning after pill) in the cabinet somewhere in your place.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE USING FOR PROPER USAGE!!!|||you,re not thinking my friend condoms are also protection from std if you,re system is free from CIG pot beer then you,re healthy s.t.d.s would show up until you,re immune system went down before you had an out break hep c is most common as long as you both only have sex with each other would you be safe|||do u want ur gf to walk around with a baby in here stomach for 9 months?

do u want to deal with her mood swings?

do u want a child?

do u want to go to the store every other hour to buy her whatever food she craves?

do u want to carry the shame of giving birth to an illegitimate child?

do u want to marry her?

do u want to never be able to turn back when that strip turns red?

do u want to be a father??

or do u want to wear a condom?|||i'm on birth control and my boyfriend cums inside me almost every time, and so far so good. its a reliable method if she takes the pill regularly. i think it's worth it because sex feels a lot better raw, and i can feel it when he cums in me|||Most common reason the pill is not 100% effective is that women forget to take it !! If the woman said she was on the pill but I was just getting to know her... I would definitely wear a condom.

AdviceMan|||Well neither the pill nor a condom are 100% safe. I know it feels better without one but to be very safe about it to not have a oops moment just wear one.|||Why take the risk of something going wrong with the pill? Use a condom, or at the very least, pull out.
