Me and my girlfriend just had unprotected sex. She has irregular periods and I have been on high doses of prednisone for the past 17 years. Yes- its does matter when you period is, you are more fertile for about 3 days in between your periods. Yes-Unprotected sex is dumb, but we will all do it eventually get over it. No- Sperm does not "live" In the uterus until and egg comes, it lives for about 48-72 hours.

|||Actually, a woman can only conceive when she's ovulating, which is a period of like 3-4 days out of the month that varies for every woman. So most of these people are idiots because having unprotected sex, while risky and foolish, does not guarantee pregnancy by ANY means.
