For older adults, they wait a bit till they get to know the person...
Waiting until marriage runs the risk of marrying a person who is sexually incompatible, so you shoud know you are compatable before making a lifetime commitment...
For most adults these days- How long does it usually take until sex occours? After a few days of dating? A few weeks? A month?
My experience has been about 3 weeks..|||3 dates! That is the unwritten rule.|||Well, thats for being prejudice/ stereotypical about us teenagers!!!

|||I had sex when I was 18 for the very first time with my ex that I've been with for a month and I don't know how many days.
To be honest I regret not waiting.
It really all depends. You should have sex when you feel alright with it. When you are ready to take on whatever responsibility just in case a baby comes along the way. Have sex when you are ready for the consequences.
On my part now I won't rush anything. I already know what the big BUZZ on sex is about. I rather wait and take my time and if the person that is with me can't handle that then by all means he should leave. After that I haven't had sex with anybody else. Why? Because I've waited long enough to know them, and I figure when it won't work out and why.|||I am waiting until marriage. As a guy, I feel it is worth getting to know the girl's feelings, emotions, ideals, dreams, and personality before I get to know her body in that way.
I feel I can kiss, hug, be close, etc. without having intercourse with her to see if we are physically compatible.|||Speaking from a teenagers perspective I have absolutely no idea how long it takes adults. But sadly these days teens can wait anywhere from a first date up to a few weeks maybe. I'm only 15 and one of my friends has already slept with 5 different people :||||Do it when ever both of you are comfortable enough to do it. If you have great chemistry then you could possibly hop in the sack the first or second date.
Just go with what feels right and stop thinking about time.|||At 18, I had sex with my ex on the second date. (We were together for 3 years after that0
At 21, I have been dating a guy for about 3 weeks and we haven't had sex yet.|||I'd say about a month, just because i liketo get to know the person before i start giving my body up for them.. That might sound lame, but i just prefer to be more careful.|||I am in my 40's and found more men wanted to know sexual compability within a week. Some of us even at this age still enjoy it quite regularly.|||I feel like if u know the person completely and u are ready its when ever|||their is no right answer , it just occurs when the two people decide to have sexual contact.|||Thats YOUR EXPERIENCE. There is no real time and anybody who tries to give you a number of weeks, days, minutes or months is an idiot, straight up. When you are comfortable is the real answer. I will say that having sex on the first date brings your chances down to have a real relationship. Not because it cant happen, but because of the way that both parties think. How many time has he or she down this? And they always have doubts. But reality is if people want to make it work, they make it work. The number one reason for break up is communication. Sex is up there on the list but still. if people communicate they can get around most of their difference.
So the real answer is whenever you are ready. Whether you have sex on the first date or 3 weeks later, its still sex. Nothing has changed. its only in your head.|||I usually start dating them right after we've had sex.
